Revenge · Episode 1

Episode 1 of Revenge. Miss Sinclair married into the Sinclair money and has been inside it long enough to know what the family does to anyone who arrives without it. When her husband's mother comes home early and unannounced — plainly dressed, ordering a ten-dollar cocktail in a room that prices its booths at ten thousand — the regulars decide she does not belong and say so at length, in front of everyone. What follows is the reckoning: who joined in, who watched, and what a divorce filing is worth once the woman they humiliated turns out to be where the money came from.
